Why We Built BharatNGOs.org
India has over 3.3 million NGOs — more than any country in the world. Yet most of them struggle with three critical problems: lack of donor reach, absence of legal and financial support, and weak organisational capacity.
The founders of BharatNGOs.org experienced this firsthand while volunteering with multiple NGOs across Maharashtra and Rajasthan. They saw exceptional NGOs doing groundbreaking work — but failing to reach donors because they lacked a professional online presence, proper legal certifications, or marketing skills.
In 2022, we built BharatNGOs.org — not just as a donation platform, but as a complete ecosystem where NGOs can fundraise, get legal support, comply with regulations, build a digital presence, and receive the organisational training they need to scale their impact.
Our mission is simple: Remove every operational barrier that prevents a good NGO from doing great work.
